209 N. Huron St.

Edward and Jennie Cornwell built the home in 1921. They were children of two of Ypsilanti's most prominent families, the Quirks and the Cornwell's. They were in the fifties when they married and had no children. This house was designed for entertaining. The design of the house was copied from a house in England they had seen while on their honeymoon. They resided at 209 N. Huron St. until their deaths in 1948 and 1959 respectively.
