Our local airport is the Baton Rouge municipal airport (http://www.flybtr.com/) with airport code BTR. It's a small airport, served by American, Continental, Delta, and Northwest airlines. Most flights are to/from Altanta or Houston.

Public transportation connections to the airport are extremely limited. One CATS bus does run along Veterans Memorial Blvd near the airport. A WikiExpedition should be conducted to determine how to use this bus.
The only other option is to take a cab. Any idea how much this costs?
parking
Parking at the airport is pretty cheap - $5/day for long term parking and $8/day for short term parking. Unfortunately the long term parking sometimes fills up during holidays (such as Thanksgiving), forcing the parker to use the more expensive short-term garage parking.

Bus
The LA Swift bus (better known as the Katrina Bus) runs between Baton Rouge and costs only $5.
Capital Area Transit System (CATS) is the local municipal bus company. Unfortunately, service is quite limited.
There is a free bus that goes around the downtown area from the LSU area.
Driving
Baton Rouge is bisected by Interstate 10, and served also by I-110 and Interstate 12 and the Airline Highway.
