Gun Violence In Chicago

Guns Violence has been a ongoing and reoccuing issue in Chicago that needs to be fixed. Chicago is becoming one of the most dangerous and scary cities in the United States. According to https://oneaimil.org/the-issue/impact-of-gun-violence/ Illinois has the 12th Highest rate of gun homicides in the US and 84% of them involved a gun. Chicago residences and people are the city are truly scared and fear for their lives by living in a city with a big crime rate. Over 1,000 people a year in Illinois die from gun violence and crime.This is a issue that has been going on for decades and people want a change and not want to fear where they are living. 

Crimes Commited in Chicago

Their are many crimes being commited in the city at a very high rate. Crimes very from murders, robberys and recently a rise over the past few years a big rise and increase of grand theft auto.   1. Missionend the cycle of violence in Chicago.
  2. The Nonviolence Chicago Street Outreach teams advocate for the community. We provide food and toiletries and conduct well-being checks when needed. To help communities take back space where violence has occurred, we host events creating safe spaces and building relationships with our neighbor
