Middlesex is loosely used by town residents to refer to the west-central portion of Darien bordering Stamford. Overall, Middlesex is referred to a distinct neighborhood less often than other neighborhoods in Darien, and its bounds are therefore less certain. Middlesex is served by Holmes Elementary.
