Jeff McAdamsFormer Gainesville Police Department officer Jeffery McAdams, who used to be president of the local Fraternal Order of Police union, has been arrested on charges that he stole at least $56,000 from the union. Former Human Resources Manager (City of Gainesville) Tiffany Dorsey resigned after being linked to the investigation.

The City Mayor (Ed Braddy) was also linked to this investigation.

May 4, 2011. ASO accuses union head McAdams of evidence tampering, Gainesville Sun. "The accusation comes in a sworn complaint filed by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office. It stems from an incident in which McAdams bought the personal cellphone of a former jail employee he was representing, Michael Cooper, so ASO investigators questioning Cooper could not get it."

September 1993. McAdams is sworn in as an officer in the Gainesville Police Department.
