The Homestead Air Reserve Base is located near Homestead. Its host unit is the 482d Fighter Wing assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command Tenth Air Force.
Many Miamians know the base through the Wings Over Homestead Air Show, which usually happens the first weekend in November.
