BJ is a dog that lives at a warehouse/house/workshop/beer brewing miniature container city in the McClymonds neighborhood of West Oakland on Adeline Street. Like many dogs, he is attuned a little bit too highly against potential threats. Surely this is one of the places where we see the failure of evolution to adapt to changing circumstances quickly enough.
If you live on Adeline St. between 24th and 26th Street, you have almost certainly heard BJ's bark, one of the many indicators of Oakland village life.
