Brotzeit Lokal is a casual German-American restaurant on the waterfront near the future Brooklyn Basin project serving a great selection of beer and sausage. They also have vegan sausages and are really accommodating in the vegan/vegetarian department.

One contributor notes that it feels like you're inside a ferry when dining indoors. You decide if they're right. This is in part because of the proximity to the water, and because part of the restaurant is cantilevered over the water and if you're sitting in that part of the restaurant, it rocks when people move in the other part of the restaurant.
They have a guest dock, so if you arrive by boat, you can tie up and go to the restaurant.
Dogs are allowed on the patio portion as long as you enter from outside.
There is a mural on the outside.
