Dr. George Fotheringham (? – July 16, 1895) was a native of Edinburgh, Scotland and settled in California in 1850. He settled first in Chicago Il, and practiced as a physician until crossing the Country in 1850 to California, where he continued to practice medicine. His death occured in July 16, 1895 and he was buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland. Any information on his early life in Illinois is welcome.

[ Question: Did he live in Oakland? I see records of a George Fotheringham in San Francisco, but haven't seen anything about one in Oakland yet. ]
