The John C. McMullen House is a large Queen Anne-style mansion circa 1896 that belonged to John C. McMullen, an attorney and banker who founded what became the State Savings Bank in Oakland. The house still stands at 2748 Grande Vista Avenue and is currently divided into apartments, but many of the exterior details are intact.

On May 5, 1981, the John C. McMullen was designated Oakland Landmark, #50, under Zoning Case #LM 81-44
