Stomper is the official Oakland A's mascot, an elephant in full team uniform. His bio states that Stomper debuted on the Opening Night Game of April 2, 1997, likes to eat peanuts, his parents are Stella and Stanley, and he is 6' 6" tall. 1

Some people love Stomper, some people hate him, and some people are indifferent. One thing is for certain: he often obscures the view at A's games when he is wandering around trying to work up excitement or saying "hi" (or ignoring) to his fans.
