Sylvia Gerrish (May, 1860 – December 8, 1906) was a performer in musical theatre, who was raised in West Oakland.
Gerrish was born in May, 1860, in Big Oak Flat, California, to Holman C. Rollins and Sylvia Gerrish. Her father gave up on prospecting and went to work for the railroad. Gerrish was raised in West Oakland, and attended Prescott Elementary School and later Oakland High School. She sang solos at the First Congregational Church, accompanied by the organist. 1
