Mission
We advocate for excellence in education. We assist schools in providing high-quality learning experiences, we promote community engagement and investment in education, and we support student access to educational opportunities.
Programs
The Ed. Fund runs 8 programs. A description of their accomplishments in the 2011-2012 school year are outlined:

Arts & Music
- Awarded $4,000 to Education through Music-Bay Area to provide music education in 4 WCCUSD elementary schools.

Awards
- Will honor 4 excellent teachers from the district at The Ed. Fund's 24th annual Excellence in Education Gala, held on May 18, 2012.

College Access Initiative
- Developed network of over 25 private, public and government agencies to increase college access and success of West County students.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Serves as fiscal sponsor for almost a dozen agencies which do not have
501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

Grants
- Awarded 74 mini-grants totaling $50,000 to fund projects across the district.

Out-of-School Time Initiative
- Identified needs in the West County's after-school and summer programming and assembled agencies to better coordinate and address those needs.

Scholarships
- Will award $200,000 in college scholarships to up to 85 seniors graduating from WCCUSD in 2012.

Teacher Ambassador
- Assembled Linked Learning Academy teachers from across the district provide professional development and improve student outcomes.
