Neighborhoods are sub-communities of Sacramento that (hopefully) have some sort of community identity, and are united by shared geography. Residents often form neighborhood associations to meet each other, discuss issues in the neighborhood, and advocate City Hall, the Police Department, and other organizations on behalf of the neighborhood. Sacramento's neighborhoods are classified in four areas.

Area one (central/eastern)
