New San Juan High School is in the San Juan Unified School District.

Welcome to the New San Juan. San Juan High School was established in 1913. Beginning in 2008, we embarked on a journey of change and innovation as we transform this American high school into a 21st Century learning community for a global society.

As our first step, a team of teachers and administrators were selected to begin this process. Our first step was to establish our core values. These values are translated into our guiding principles:

• Developing student achievement through real-world connections.
• Empowering global citizens for the 21st Century.

Our journey has led to the development of a program that supports both completion of university A-G requirements and completion of a certificate program in one of our five career pathways: culinary arts; digital media and television; transportation; construction; and engineering.

Additionally, we have developed small learning communities that will give students the individual attention and support they need to complete our programs and graduate prepared to take on the world!
