Sylvan Oaks

The Sylvan Oaks Library branch, on the corner of Auburn Boulevard and Van Maren Lane, is situated in a grove of majestic native valley oaks. The library grounds and neighboring Crosswoods Park are home to a variety of wildlife, including a large flock of wild turkeys. This scenic location provides a perfect background for a busy community library. Patrons of all ages enjoy the collections and the many scheduled activities, including weekly Toddler Times and Preschool Story Times, as well as programs for school age children, families, and adults. Many of the programs are funded by the highly active Friends of the Sylvan Oaks Library.

The library serves the independent city of Citrus Heights. The collection includes more than 84,000 items available for checkout, and 15 Internet/word processing computers are offered for public use, along with a workstation reserved especially for children, and four special early-literacy computers for youngsters under seven. Sylvan Oaks is open to the public 48 hours per week.
