The Book Collector offers a wide selection of used and out-of-print books at reasonable prices. Rachel Hansen opened the store in 1995 with help from her husband, Richard. In 1998, they added their daughter, Ruhiyyih, to the staff. With a stock of around 15,000 volumes, The Book Collector buys, sells, and trades books in most subjects. The business was bought in 2013 by Debbie Reeves, a long-time employee of the store. The book selection remains eclectic and DVDs, CDs, vinyl, and random items have been added to the mix.
