Throughout my research at sfsu, I found a pretty decent number of services offered for students who want to quit smoking/ vaping.  Students who seek in person meetings can use the Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling. The service is located in room 205 of the student services center and, although from the website it appears they only focus on alcohol and marajauna, they also try to help smokers quit. Students who don’t feel comfortable with in-person counselling can get help over the phone.

The BREATH Campaign is an educational campaign that aims to help SFSU students live a tobacco/e-cig free life.

Students can call BREATH @415 338 1203 monday through Friday from 8:30am- 4:30pm.

Students who feel they might be triggered by seeing others smoke can avoid walking on a Hollow Dr along the library and on the side of the humanities building. These two spots are heavily used by smokers despite the campus being “smoke free.”
