Wineries 1 are abundant in the greater area around Syracuse and we normally celebrate our Finger Lakes Wine Country. There are several hundred vineyards and wineries within a number of American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) across Western New York and Canada that are reasonably accessible from the Syracuse region.
Wineries are normally categorized by their AVA, the lake upon which they depend, or a designation and/or membership in one of the regions official Wine Trails.
